Bychowski which unpacks how dysphoria has been an organizing pattern within trans literature since the premodern period, predating the adoption of the term within the modern medical sciences, and she emphasizes the need for critical trans literary and historical theory to better identify and analyze trans history and narratives that have been silenced in archives. The event was organized for LGBTQ History Month and held virtually on November 14, 2022.
