This is a conversation between Naik Muhammad (a 42-year old male driver) and Muhammad Awaiz (a 32-year old male government servant) about Naik Muhammad's recent visit to Kashmir.

This is a retelling of the story about seven brothers and their sister by Muhammad Awaiz (a 32-year old government servant) with Naik Muhammad (a 42-year old male) as the listener. In this story, the brothers get separated from their sister and the latter is searching for them. The sister finds her lost brothers in a forest but the brothers cannot recognise her and each one of them wants to marry her. When the sister lets them know that she was their sister, they drop the idea of marrying her.

This is a poem by Muhammad Awaiz (a 32-year old male). In this poem he says that the whole world is like our home, we should live a happy life by co-operating with each other.

Recording of a personal narrative by Muhammad Awaiz (a 31-year old male) in which the speaker talks about the economic hardships he endured as a student up until high school. He then moved to a far off big city in search of a job. There, he acquired a government job which helped him improve his financial situation. In this light, he reiterates his resolve to provide his children better education and better opportunities.

Seema describes each picture of the Jackal and the Crow, a picture-based stimulus task. She tells the whole story, and then tells the story from the jackal’s perspective. Before being recorded, Seema mentioned that she was familiar with the story. The recording was made at her home at the very beginning of Rakchham village.

Ravinder Singh Mathus and Devi Chand describe the functions they perform at Rakchham’s main temple. They are the interpreter and oracle of the local deities, respectively. The recording was made next to Shiv's temple in Rakchham, during a ritual break.

(Jim) Nugent who served as a member of the Texas House of Representatives from 1961 to 1979 and was elected to the Texas Railroad Commission for sixteen years.The interview details his upbringing, education, career as an attorney, navy service as a pilot in World War II, and family memories.
