Oral History Interview with Samuel Cole, February 19, 2018
The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with Samuel Cole. Cole joined the Army Air Forces in January of 1943. He completed schooling for navigation, and was commissioned in August of 1944. He was then sent to Florida for radar operator training. He flew in a B-29 with the 41st Bomb Squadron, 501st Bombardment Group, 315th Bomb Wing, 20th Air Force. In 1945 they flew 10 missions, bombing oil refineries in Japan. He returned to the US and was discharged in April of 1946.

The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with Daniel Montgomery. Montgomery joined the Army Air Forces in late 1942 and trained to be a radio operator. After training, he joined the 371st Fighter Group, 406th Fighter Squadron in Virginia. He travelled with the unit to England in February 1944. He also went to Normandy with them after the invasion. He shares several anecdotes and recalls experiences aboard P-47 aircraft. He was discharged in December, 1945.

Oral History Interview with Howard Stearns, June 19, 2018
The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with Howard Stearns. Stearns joined the Army in July of 1946. He served with the 1st Cavalry Division, 5th Cavalry Regiment. In December he traveled to Yokohama, Japan aboard the USS General W. M. Black (AP-135). Stearns was assigned to the 4th Replacement Depot in Japan, and worked as a non-commissioned officer, overseeing a supply room during the occupation of Japan. Stearns also transported war criminals by vehicle to the war crime trials, sat in on the trials, then escorted the criminals back to the Sugamo prison in Tokyo. He returned to the US and was discharged in November of 1947.
