Jaswant Singh discusses his experience trading with the Tibetans. He did this once a year for six years, before the Indo-Chinese war in 1962 drastically restricted trade with Tibetans. The recording was made in Khrogla, located three kilometers further down Rakchham village.

Chet Ram Negi describes how he became the principal of Rakchham Government Senior Secondary school and provides a short history of the school. The recording was made outdoors on school grounds.

Yashvir introduces his family and describes his experience as an English teacher in Rakchham village. He discusses the importance of preserving his language. The recording was made at his home in Rakchham village, located nearby the main temple.

Chet and Yashvir discuss the following prompt: "Is the Chhitkul-Rakchham language endangered, and, if yes, what should be done to preserve it?" The recording was done outside at Rakchham's Government Senior Secondary School, where they both work.

Video recording of the performance, What We Talk About When We Talk About Race. What We Talk About When We Talk About Race is the culmination of a year-long discussion and production process that took place between African-American and White students and professors in the Department of Communication Studies. What began as a set of informal dinners, in which they slowly, haltingly, and gradually told stories about themselves, their families, and their histories with race, has resulted in a devised production that includes personal narrative and adaptations of literature that reveal what they learned on their journey from conversations to a performance that has been collaboratively conceived, written, and directed. Among their performances, the play served as the finale for this year’s 2018 Equity and Diversity Conference. The conference cut of this performance also features Shawn Brewer of Peterbilt, the conference’s production sponsor.

From Harvard to prisons, Rosa has spent her life dedicated to scholar activism. She is the president and founder of Know Thy Self Productions, which has produced four major community activism tours and consults on issues such as Hip-Hope activism, media justice, voter engagement among youth of color, third party politics, intercultural relations between Black and Latinx, immigrants’ rights as an extension of human rights, and universal healthcare. During her keynote session, Clemente addresses identity intersectionality as a bridge to inclusion.

Dr. Stewart is professor in the School of Education and Tri-Chair of the Student Affairs in Higher Education program at Colorado State University. Over the course of zir 17-year faculty career, ze has focused most intently on issues of race and ethnicity, sexuality, and gender, as well as religion, faith, and spirituality in their research, teaching, and service to professional organizations and institutions across the nation. In this session, Dr. Stewart speaks on navigating privilege and marginalization in building social justice competence.
