Article introducing a special issue discussing the link between the metabolic syndrome and the development and progression of cancer. The role of inflammation in these diseases and identification of new therapeutic targets are of great significance. This special issue contributes original research papers and review articles that motivate the continuous efforts to comprehend the mechanisms, production, and management related to cancers associated with the metabolic syndrome.

Strengthening strategy for a ductile metastable β-titanium alloy using low-temperature aging
This article demonstrates that low-temperature aging (LTA) treatments for short time periods can in fact enhance the yield strength while preserving substantial elongation-to-failure in ω containing β titanium alloys.
