"This report describes the labor force characteristics and earnings patterns among the largest race and ethnicity groups living in the United States - White, Blacks, Asians, and Hispanics - and provides detailed data through a set of supporting tables."

This report shows figures detailing adults under community supervision through the end of 2014.

The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with Bill Feltner. Feltner was born in Combs, Kentucky in 1921. He joined the Army in 1940 and completed basic training, then entered radio school. After a stint as a battalion communications chief, he was sent to Fort Drum, New York to set up a communications school followed by Officer Candidate School at Fort Hood, Texas. Commissioned in 1943, he was sent to Fort Benning, Georgia as a battalion communications officer. In 1944 he was sent to Mindanao as an infantry platoon leader with the 124th Infantry. Later, he was sent to Korea as a military advisor and was wounded. Feltner retired in 1961 as a lieutenant colonel.

The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with Robert Archer. Archer entered the Navy in September 1943. He completed basic in Farragut, Idaho and Bremerton, Washington. From Washington he made two trips to Hawaii and the Marshall Islands. He was aboard the USS Bon Homme Richard CV-31, serving as a fireman. He was aboard during the Iwo Jima and Okinawa campaigns. He was discharged December 1946.

Document issued by the Office of the Attorney General of Texas in Austin, Texas, providing an interpretation of Texas law. It provides the opinion of the Texas Attorney General, Ken Paxton, regarding a legal question submitted for clarification: Whether a police department or sheriffs office may display the national motto, "In God We Trust," on its patrol vehicles (RQ-0059-KP).

The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with Carlos Anserra Sanchez. Sanchez was born 10 September 1927, graduated high school in 1943 and joined the Navy in late 1944. He completed training at Camp Pendleton and served aboard USS Sumner (AGS-5), with the black gang tending to the boilers. From September through February 1945, they conducted survey operations around Ulithi. In June, they continued surveys in Leyte Gulf, Philippines. After the war, they participated in the nuclear testing at Bikini Atoll. They returned to the US in mid-1946, and Sanchez received his discharge.

The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with James Reynolds. Reynolds has some assistance from his daughter during the interview. Reynolds joined the Navy in September 1943 and was in a construction battalion working at Manus in the Admiralty Islands. Reynolds was discharged in December 1945.

The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with Mack Roberson. Roberson was born in Three Rivers, Texas in 1926. After attending Schreiner Institute in Kerrville, Texas for several semesters, he joined the US Marine Corps and received boot training as San Diego. Upon completion, he accepted an assignment to train for honor guard duties. In 1944, he was aboard a troop ship bound for Okinawa and he tells of some of his experience aboard ship. He recalls observing kamikazes hitting US ships in Buckner Bay. He also comments on the Baka bomb. Recalling the destruction he observed at Hiroshima, he questions the decision to drop the atomic bomb. He also describes his interaction with the Japanese people. He fondly remembers his personal experience with Admiral Nimitz and expresses his admiration.

The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with Clifford Kantz. Mrs. Marion Kantz assists with the interview. Kantz entered the US Army Air Forces October 1941. He received training at Sheppard Field, Texas and served as a flight officer flying B-24s. He went on to Fort Benning and served as a C-47 pilot. Kantz became an aircraft commander in the 100th Troop Carrier Squadron, towing and dropping gliders and paratroopers. They were stationed in Nottingham, England. When the war was over they brought many French POWs out of Germany back to France. They also took supplies to the front for the American troops, and brought out the wounded. He came back to the States in October 1945, and remained on active duty until 1963 when he retired. After the military he became a teacher.

The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with Elizabeth L. (Liz) Irvine. Irvine was born 5 July 1927 in Baguio, Philippine Islands, where her parents were teachers. They lived most of the time in Manila, until the outbreak of WWII, at which time they were imprisoned in 1942 by Japanese forces in Santo Tomas Internment Camp for the next three years, until liberation in early 1945. After the war ended in 1945, she and her parents moved to the United States. Liz shares intimate details of their experiences in the camp.

The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with Yvonne Goodier Charles. Charles was born 10 September 1926 in Silver City, New Mexico. In November of 1933, her father was offered a mining job in Manila, Philippines and their family moved. In early 1942, after the outbreak of WWII, Charles and her family were imprisoned by Japanese forces in Santo Tomas Internment Camp, where they remained until their liberation in early 1945. Charles shares intimate details of their experiences in the camp.

The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with Maxine Flournoy. Flournoy received her pilot’s license through the Civil Pilot Trailing at Joplin Junior College, Missouri in 1941. Beginning in 1943, she served as a pilot with the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP), furthering her training in Sweetwater, Texas. She then transferred to an Army base in Hondo, Texas for Navigation School, where she lived in the barracks with other female pilots. Flournoy notes that she trained aboard an AT-7 and a C-60, receiving the same training as her male counterparts, except for combat training. They were later sent to Officer Training School in Orlando, Florida. When the WASPs disbanded in December of 1944, Flournoy went on to serve as a commercial pilot in Alice, Texas. She shares numerous details of her life experiences in WASP.

Transcript of interview with Joseph Neal Luther, a retired professor from Kerrville, Texas. He recalls his time as an Air Rescue Medic in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, as well as his time as a professor at a few different universities, some of which were in foreign countries.

The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with Edward Ferretti. Mike Ferretti, son of Edward, speaks on his father’s behalf. Ferretti was drafted into the Navy in 1944 and received training in Camp Farragut, Lake Pend Oreille, Idaho and Point Loma, San Diego to become a radar operator. He worked aboard the USS Cortland (APA-75) in 1945. His shifts were four hours on the radar screen, eight hours off, seven days a week, working in both surface and sea modes. Over a ten-month period, they shuttled Marines to different islands. Locations include Seattle, Eniwetok, Ulithi, Okinawa, Korea and China. In September 1945 they helped the Nationalist Chinese fight the communists by transporting 800 Chinese troops to Tientsin. Ferretti also went to Manila, Hong Kong and Japan. They arrived back in the States in December 1945. He completed his service in the Navy as Radarman 1st Class and was discharged around January 1946. Ferretti took advantage of the G.I. Bill and studied at Washington University.

The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with Frank J. Nemec. Nemec joined the Marine Corps in early 1942. He received light and medium tanks training, and served with Company B of the 1st Tank Battalion, 1st Marine Division. He participated in the invasions at New Britain, Peleliu, and Okinawa. Frank also served at Guadalcanal, New Guinea, Pavuvu, and the Goodenough Islands. He spent 28 months in the war zone, plus a 3-month occupational duty in China after the war. Nemec’s unit was awarded the Presidential Unit Citation for the Guadalcanal and the Okinawa operations. He was honorably discharged on 3 July 1946.

The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with Robert Rackerby. Rackerby joined the Marine Corps in February 1943 and trained in San Diego, then went to radio school at Texas A&M. He went overseas to Green Island and was attached to Marine Aircraft Group 14 (MAG-14). Rackerby served in the photography section and processed film. He remained there for a year before moving to the Philippines. Rackerby returned to the US in May, 1945 to prepare for the invasion of Japan with Marine Aircraft Group 51, but the war ended. Rackerby was discharged in November 1945. He used the GI Bill to attend university.
