Curtin expresses outrage about Governor Rick Perry's opposition to gay marriage. Curtin credits Donna Day as his mentor. Fellow drag queen Pitiful Bitch and Todd Savell, Curtin's frequent collaborators, are mentioned. Curtin talks about his other drag personas, Elizabeth "Betty" Bliss and Heather Hardin. The story of Edna Jean Robinson's creation at a Turtle Creek Chorale retreat is told. A few times Curtin pauses his monologue while footage of pageant highlights are projected on the screen behind him. Curtin talks about his work as a "charity girl" (drag queen who raises money) and his work as a TCC (Turtle Creek Chorale) Angel, assisting those who contracted AIDS in the early 1990s. Curtin discusses the stigmas and prejudices he witnessed against those ill with HIV/AIDS when he visited AIDS patients in Dallas hospitals. Curtin's husband, Jack Bliss, is remembered. On the 30th anniversary of his move to Dallas, Gray reflects on how his life "really came together" when he moved to Dallas. During the height of the AIDS crisis, Gray wrote a column called "Dear Patti" for The AIDS Update and participated in benefit concerts like the Dallas Gay Alliance's War on AIDS. Gray talks about the severe grief he experienced in the 1980s when many friends died from AIDS, as well as the fulfillment he found raising money for charity. At the end of the video Patti Le Plae Safe performs "From A Distance" as sung by Bette Midler.
