[Carmel Daisy in wildflower book]

Photographs of a pressed flower in "Wildflowers from Palestine" held by UNT Special Collections. The first image is a Carmel Daisy and there is a short description of its place in Palestine and references to biblical figures. There are also four quotes beneath the description from poetry about flowers. Image 2, is a Passion Everlasting flower with faded stems and bright maroon petals. It is taped into the book. Image 3, is the cover of "Wildflowers from Palestine." It is mostly green and has a white spine with green detailing. The title is in yellow and has green scroll-work behind it.

[Consumer rationing box next to dime]

Photographs of a Consumer Rationing kit from WWII held by UNT Special Collections as part of the Miniature Book Collection. In the first image it is standing up next to a dime for size comparison. The box is thin and orange and has a label on the front with rules about rations and ration stamps. There is important information included at the bottom and a pencil marking that reads "#53". It was a replica of what the stamp booklets looked like during WWII. In the second image the case is in the back and a booklet and ration book are set out in front of it. There is a dime placed beside them for size reference. The book is titled "Consumer Rationing in World War Two" and the booklet is the fourth in a series.

It is made with a black cloth and the title, sub-title, and author is printed in gold paint, and there is also a cloverleaf border in gold. In the center is an illustration of a man riding a deer with large golden antlers that are touching a seemingly-organic spiked container. A stream of light is coming out of the deer's head and is hitting a mirror at the same time as a light is coming out of the rider's head. Attached to the mirror is a spiked contraption that seems organic that drops balls into a metal bowl when the mirror and a spike are interacted with. The rider is also wearing an interesting red suit that combines with the saddle on the deer.
