Notes accompanying a presentation for the Texas Music Library Association Fall 2014 Meeting. These notes and the presentation discuss the lexicon of jazz invective and hurling insults across a century with big data.

This home movie documents Afsheen Nomai and Laura Treat's trip to the 2014 State Fair of Texas at Fair Park in Dallas. The footage begins with a close up of Big Tex and includes footage of Laura buying a Fletcher's Corny Dog, a performance by Rockin' Rick, sales demonstrations of knives and vacuums in an exhibit hall, the World on a String puppet show, Hendrick's Racing Pigs, and Big Tex speaking. Treat and Nomai watch a parade including floats featuring Ronald McDonald, the Fletcher's Corny Dog mascot, and a 1931 Greyhound bus. The movie concludes with a walk through the Midway and views of the fairgrounds shot from the Texas Star Ferris Wheel.
