The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an oral interview with Richard Youngs. Youngs joined the Navy and was sent to gunnery school. He was then assigned to USS LST-290. Youngs describes getting sea-sick and a collision with a civilian ship in which he was injured. He was reassigned to the commissioning crew of USS LST-947. Youngs describes his duties as a coxswain including an incident where he received a speeding ticket at Pearl Harbor in his LCVP. He discusses how his ship carried equipment and troops for the invasion of Okinawa. Youngs describes coming under attack by kamikazes and a time when his gun jammed. He participated in the occupation of Japan and was discharged in May 1946.

This presentation discusses the digitization project of the Gordon Knox film collection. The University of North Texas (UNT) Media Library began working with the donors and assessing the project plan for digitizing this collection in 2007 and the films were made available in the UNT Digital Library in 2010. This presentation describes the strategies, initial challenges, processes, and lessons learned from working on this project.

Funeral program for Freddie Brunce, III, born March 21, 1964 and died November 15, 2011. The funeral was held November 19, 2011 at God's House of Faith, officiated by Darrell Clayton, Pastor. Funeral arrangements were made through Collins Funeral Home.

Funeral program for Cynthai Renee (Gees) Morrow, born April 22, 1965 and died November 13, 2011. The funeral was held November 19, 2011 at New Hope Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Joshua Joubert. Funeral arrangements were made through Carter-Taylor-Williams Mortuary and she was buried in MeadowLawn Memorial Park in San Antonio, Texas.
