Transcription and translation of the recording of Raja Jamsheed Ali Khan narrating the story of "Maghlot ke Girkits" ('weasel and rat') in the Srinagar dialect. In this popular story two boys are born conjoined, and are separated by a knife. The two brothers are raised by two separate clans, always meeting in constant contention with each other, giving them the nicknames Maghlot ('weasel') and Girkits ('rat') for their physical and behavioral traits. Knowing the brothers would create instability, the king separates the kingdom into two halves, creating the divide between the Hunza and the Nagar people

Improvised play-by-play description of imagined soccer game in Manipuri (Meiteiron) by Harimohon Thounaojam

Beshot Khullar and Rengpu Rex Khullar talk about the Totlang Kam Festival. The exchange is useful for cultural information, lexical items related to this important festival, and question and answer exchanges. Rengpu Rex Khullar accompanied his father Beshot Khullar to Chennai to share information on Lamkang with Shobhana Chelliah.

Rengpu Rex Khullar provides discussion and examples of speech acts: complimenting, apologizing, commanding and a traditional trickster story. These are compared to Manipuri (Meiteiron) speech acts with discussion from Harimohon Thounaojam.

Rex provides this in Lamkang, while Harimohon provides this in Manipuri. The purpose was to elicit focus and/or highly active constructions.
