Coalition Correspondence – Letter dated 7 June, 2005 to Chairman Principi from the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast signed by President and CEO Lynda Weatherman as well as Randall Harris, Chairman Space Coast Defense Alliance. The Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast expressed approval for DoD’s BRAC 2005 recommendations, but believes the realignment recommendation affecting the Naval Ordnance Test Unit (NOTU) at Cape Canaveral Air Station missed significant factors that run counter to the Department's emphasis on transformation, joint basing, and efficiencies that can drive true cost-savings.
