Environmental Impacts of Synthetic Based Drilling Fluids

This report covers the observed environmental impacts of synthetic based drilling fluids (SBF) that are used in deepwater oil drilling. It is found that SBF tends to accumulate in the sediment which tends to exhibit low toxicity and effects the living organisms in various ways.
