["Eye of the Storm" exhibition walkthrough video with artist talk narration]

Video footage from The Black Academy of Arts and Letters recorded during the 1997 James E. Kemp summer exhibition featuring artist Claude R. Fiddler entitled "Eye of the Storm". The footage shows the gallery space along with shots of the individual paintings. The video is narrated by the artist as he places his work in the greater context of society, black culture, and his lived experience. Fiddler explains the role of the strength of black women to his work as well as a contrasting male voice of rejection and anger.
