In regards to a project proposed by the San Antonio Museum of Art, SAMA to development a series of art reproductions and presentation for a summer institute to train teachers. McCarter and Reynolds write that they have worked with SAMA since the museum educators attended a Marcus-funded advocacy workshop and believe that their proposal is consistent and similar to NTIEVA's efforts and support their proposal.

Photocopy of a letter from Jack Davis, School of Visual Arts, University of North Texas, to Sara Chapman. In regards to their conversation days prior with Davis offering suggestions on how to handle "Friends" award nominations in the future. Suggestions such as the person making the nomination provide additional information besides a letter, the general background on the nominee, contributions to the field of art, letters from two other individuals who support the nominee. This way the committee would have more to consider in their deliberations.

Photocopy of a letter from Leilani Lattin Duke, director of the Getty Center, to the Arts Education Colleagues and Advocates, in regards to the release of new video publications by the Getty Center. The first video is, Art Education Is More than Art Education, a video which focuses on art specialists and teachers in the classroom as they share their perspective on art education. The second video is, Art Education in Action: An All-Participants Day Video Teleconference, a recording of the Center's first national teleconference broadcasted in 1994 and reached more than 8,000 educators.

Photocopy of a memo from Leilani Lattin Duke, director of Getty Center for Education in the Arts, to the Regional Institute Directors. The memo is in regards to attached fact sheets indicating the amount of Federal funds each state has received to support the process to implement Goals 2000. Congress passes a bill, Title 1 of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, more information of the program will be sent on Duke acquires it.

Photocopy of a memo from Julie Abel, Program Associate, Getty Center for Education in the Arts, to the Regional Institute Directors. The memo is in regards to a confirmation of the number of funders attending the January 12, 1995 Funders' Dinner by October 21, 1994. Because of the low response, Abel requests that the directors follow up with the funders from each institute who have not yet replied. Attached to the memo is a RSVP list.

Photocopy of the proposed plan for a panel discussion titled "Administrators as Leaders in the Arts". Following the room number of the panel is an itinerary of talking points and the speakers associated with them. The total time given for the discussion is one hour and fifteen minutes. The second page is an information sheet that gives contact information and a summary of presenters for the event.

In regards to a proposal by McCarter that has been selected for the annual state conference of the Texas Council, February 1 - 4, 1995 at the Loews Anatole Hotel in Dallas. The letter goes into details about McCarter's schedule panel time and materials he'll need to collect before the conference dates.
