From Purpose and Scope: "The Tularosa Quadrangle (2ยบ), New Mexico (Fig. 1), was evaluated to identify geologic units and delineate specific areas that have characteristics favorable for occurrence of uranium deposits. All geologic environments to a depth of 1500 m were evaluated by means of surface investigations and examination of geophysical well logs."
