Abstract: Field and laboratory data are presented for 405 water samples and 736 sediment samples from the Silver City Quadrangle, New Mexico; Arizona. Uranium values have been reported by Los Alamos National Laboratory in Report GJBX-69(78). The samples were collected by Los Alamos National Laboratory; laboratory analysis and data reporting were performed by the Uranium Resource Evaluation Project at Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

From Purpose and Scope: "The Tularosa Quadrangle (2º), New Mexico (Fig. 1), was evaluated to identify geologic units and delineate specific areas that have characteristics favorable for occurrence of uranium deposits. All geologic environments to a depth of 1500 m were evaluated by means of surface investigations and examination of geophysical well logs."
