The meeting was called to order by President Richard L. Denham.

Clipping of a letter written to the NMRA Bulletin by a man named Rick Perry regarding the use of fiberglass as insulation. He was part of the crew who swapped out the fiberglass insulation with asbestos, and wrote to dispute a previous letter to the bulletin about using fiberglass insulation. Written below the clipping is "- NMRA Bulletin Jan 1979."

From introduction: The objective of this project is to measure the impact coal mining has on the hydrologic system and to develop the capability for predicting the effect of future mining on water resources. To achieve this necessities isolating the problems and measuring the parameters involved before, during, and after mining.
