The Floyd family is posing in front of the house with a horse-drawn carriage on the right and a man holding the reins to another horse on the left. They are identified as (left to right): Sam Floyd, Della Greene, Lee Floyd, Jim Floyd, Grace Floyd, and Thelma Floyd. The house was built by Horace Aurelius Smith around 1881; it is two stories with Queen Anne-style architectural features including shingling on the sides and decorative woodwork around the porch and balconies.
