At mid-afternoon, Supt. Bill Lillaird said that the schools will be open Friday and that buses will bring students to the schools. He said additional uniformed school security men will be assigned to Capitol Hill and Southeast, along with city police. Dr. Lillard said additional security will be provived at other schools in the system as well. The trouble started at Southeast High School, 5401 Shields, then spread to Capitol Hill High School, 510 SW 36, when a bus supposedly taking student home from Southeast was diverted to Capitol Hill High......Disturbances at Southeast, site of unruliness Wednesday, broke out this morning as Principal Dee King was talking with a group of 25 black and white student leaders to prevent any reoccurence of trouble."
