On the opposite side of the road, a sidewalk separates the pavement from the courthouse's lawn and is lined with parking meters. Growing in the lawn are small bushes and a few small trees, mostly planted around the three short white brick walls sitting in front of the courthouse's entrance. Two walkways run from the sidewalk, between the short walls, and up to the front doors of the courthouse, passing by a white statue on a tall rectangular base. The statue appears to be of a person holding a rifle while wearing a hat.
