George Ranch. The advertisement is in gray, black, and white and reads: "Our ALL POLLED Offering at the Pioneer Breeders Sale Premont, Texas Oct. 17 [6 rectangular areas for photos and 6 lined areas below rectangles for print]. Sale will be held at Los Jaboncillos Ranch - 7 Miles North of Premont on Hwy. 281 beginning at 1:30 P. M. [on bottom left is a sticker that reads: "For Sale At the Ranch" and below it is a lined area. Sticker in bottom left corner reads: Horned and Polled Santa Gertrudis Member: Santa Gertrudis Breeders International, Kingsville, Texas 78363 A Pioneer Santa Gertrudis Breeder An Old Herd With A New Program Santa Gertrudis Since 1932 Hilmar Moore, General Manger Walter W. Manila envelope that contained a letter from "The Cattleman", four photo proofs, and fifteen photographs. Envelope front reads: "The Cattleman 410 East Weatherford Street Fort Worth, Texas 76102 [on white label with black print] First Class Mail From The Cattleman 410 East Weatherford Street Fort Worth 2, Texas To Mr. Hilmar Ge. Moore 900 Hillcrest Richmond, Texas 77469. Address Correction Requested Return Postage Guaranteed." The pre-postage paid stamp reads in red: "Help Stamp Out Cattle Thefts Brand Your Cattle As Evidence of Legal Ownership". Postmarked in red: "Fort Worth Tex. Apr 27' 70 U. S. Postage 30 PB Meter 300530".

Letter with letterhead from "The Cattleman Published By The Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association 410 E. Weatherford St., Fort Worth, Texas 76102, Phone 817/332-7155, Paul W. Horn, Editor" Contents of letter dated April 27, 1970: Mr. Hilmar G. Moore 900 Hillcrest, Richmond, Texas 77469 Dear Hilmar: Enclosed are the photographs which I took when I was with you and Walter at the George Ranch. The day was not the best and the photographer could have been a little better too. I understand Roger went out the next day when he had some sunlight. I hope he got some good shots for you. Box 1018 Lockhart, Texas Dear Walter: Attached are two pictures each of four of your Pioneer Sale heifers, one picture of one of the heifers and four pictures of the sale bull. Also included is a suggested layout of a page ad, which includes all six pictures. You will need to fill in appropriate remarks about each animal under its picture. The promotion of these sale cattle could be done in any of the following ways. 1. Run the attached layout in both the September and October issues. 2. Increase the size to two pages to run in September, thereby making the pictures larger; run a follow up smaller ad of a half page in the October issue. 3. Do not run a picture of all of the heifers - use only one or two. We will need to have the layout, copy and pictures you want to use in September by August 20. I would suggest using the picture of the three men along with an announcement of the purchase of the highest selling polled bull in the history of the breed; along with a thank you to those who purchased Mamie E.
