Interview with former Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives L. DeWitt Hale, an attorney from Corpus Christi, Texas. The interview includes Hale's personal experiences as a member of the Sixty-first Legislature, as well as his views on one-year versus two-year budgets, revenue bills, corporate income tax, welfare legislation, state minimum wage law, education legislation, the creation of new four-year colleges, beer and liquor lobbies, changes in state sales tax base, personal legislation, redistricting, and the "one man, one vote" U.S. Supreme Court decision.
