Photograph used for a story in the Oklahoma City Times newspaper. Caption: "Bare courtroom stands ready for furniture, when money comes from court fund. (article) County commissioners have told judges there is no money to equip and furnish 13 new courtrooms being built in the old courthouse. To solve the money crisis, county judges have field a court order that gives legal authority for spending up to $98,000 out of the county's court fund. The commissioners have approved expenditures of $109,634 during the last 10 months for furnishing offices in the new courthouse annex. Needed for the new courtrooms are chairs for jurors, witnesses and court personnel, spectator benches and furnishings for judges' chamber. The order, approval April 25, authorizes the court clerk, Dale Smith, to spend court funds for necessary furniture and wquipment, including sound systems for the new courts. If the full $98,000 is required, the expenditure could reduce the court fund by more than one-third, a deputy clerk said."
