Arlan's of New York hopes to open the new stores about November 1, Jesse Sims, superintendent for Goodrich Building Corp., said. Goodrich is doing the work for $1.5 million, 135,000 square foot buildings, which will be able to handle about 1,000 cars. Sims, his brother, is superintendent of the N May job. Arlan's is a complete line department store, including food stores. Its decision to locate here was announced some months ago."
