[Turntable at San Lazaro engine terminal]

Photograph of locomotive No. 67, a consolidation type 2-8-0, on the turntable in the San Lazaro engine terminal enroute from its roundhouse stall to servicing tracks. The "F.C. I." abbreviation on the tender is Ferro-carril Cuautla Y Ixtla" (Cuauta and Ixtla Railroad). In yesteryears this locomotive ran only on this 50-mile branch line. Soon it will head the National Railways of Mexico's narrow gauge passenger consist on the main line run from Mexico City via Cuauta to Puebla. This 3-foot gauge railroad system is one of the oldest in the Republic. It traverses one of the most picturesque routes in Mexico.

Christmas postcard from the Tarver family including a small photo of the children in the center. There are black-and-white illustrations around the outside of the photo depicting the three wise men riding camels, the star, and palm trees; the words "Felices Pascuas" are at the top of the postcard and "Pròspero Año Nuevo" are at the bottom. This is one of a series of photographs taken during the One O’Clock Lab Band’s tour to Mexico, January 26 to February 21, 1967. The United States Department of State sponsored the tour, and the band traveled as representatives of the United States. Directed by Leon Breeden, the 20 member band and their guests vocalist Carol Lurie and pianist-organist Linda De Leon, toured for 26 days, giving 19 scheduled concerts and two impromptu shows at venues throughout Mexico.
