Advisement of a price increase due to increased costs for Byrdie Carswell Support, Maintenance and Treatment Account. Handwritten note by Carswell at bottom of page advises that on September 28, 1961 a check was mailed for October.

A letter written to Dr. Preston E. Harrison, Big Spring State Hospital, from T. N. Carswell. Carswell advises Harrison of attached checks to cover his January, 1962 accounts for Mrs. Byrdie Carswell and requests advice from Harrison regarding some reading glasses for Byrdie suggesting an exam be given by a local optometrist. The reverse side shows the letter to be written on hte reverse side of Little Tuffy Mfg. Co. letterhead.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas from Lloyd Arnovich, Social Case Worker, Big Spring State Hospital, Big Spring, Texas, dated December 22, 1961. Arnovich advises Carswell of their efforts to recruit a local doctor to perform an eye exam for Byrdie Carswell, of the enclosed receipts credited to Byrdie's account and that she continues to do well. An embossed and printed thank-you-card with gold, glittered lettering. Inside is a note written to Uncle Norwood [T. N. Carswell] from Gloria Carswell, dated June 12, 1961. Gloria expresses her appreciation for the gift of money for graduation. The envelope into which the card was placed is also included. The envelope is addressed to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas postmarked WAYCROSS, GA. JUN 12 1961. The reverse side includes a return address of 712 Magnolia Dr., Waycross, Ga.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas, from Justin A. Kever, District Attorney, San Angelo, Texas, dated May 26, 1961. Kever acknowledges the receipt of the "note" from Carswell advising of his retirement as chairman of the Parole Board in Taylor County.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Abilene, Texas from E. M. Collier, Administrator, Hendrick Memorial Hospital dated December 6, 1961. The letter contains a notification by Collier of a meeting of the Trustees which has been called by Mr. Anderson. Building plans for the new addition are to be presented to the Board.

Goff, Recording Secretary/Director of Statistical Services, Executive Board, Baptist General Convention of Texas dated November 22, 1961. Goff advises that Carswell has been elected for a three year term as trustee of Hendrick Memorial Hospital of Abilene.
