The back of the photograph proclaims, “Southwestern Bell Telephone Company laying a telephone cable across Site 16 Wildhorse Creek. Cable is layed [sic] to about 36” deep but was raised to about 12” deep to cross the dam and forebay of the spillway. Being able to cross this structure saved the company several thousand dollars by being able to take this short cut.”
