All their plans changed when the pickup in which they were driving to Oklahoma City caught fire and the animals were killed. You just don't enter state show with nothing to show. It was to have been the first state show for young Jimmy Morris, 12, of Hobart. It was different story for Nick Ferris, 13, of Cooperton. He has been showing since he was eight years old, when he took over from his older brother, Lavon, who for a dozen years was a familiar name in county and state stock shows."
