The organization's 9-story building, at 320 Park Ave., may be sold. The board of directors has announced it will accept offers on the building, which for 30 years has housed working girls and provided space for a variety of activities for people of all ages. But since the announcement sentiment against the building's sale has been expressed, according to Mrs. A. J. Haswell, YWCA president. She and Miss Gertrude McMorran, executive director, point out that whether or not the building is sold will depend on the offers recieved and mainly upon a study now being made to determine how YW can best serve the community......The association started its operation in a few rooms in the upstairs of a building at 124 W Main where a plaque still hangs at the entrance commemorating the event. it continued there from 1907 until 1912 when it moved to 112 NW 2, now the Berg apartments. In 1916 the YW moved to what is now the Globe Life Building, 311 W Sheridan. From 1918 …
