A motorcycle policeman was seriously injured Wednesday afternoon when he rammed into a truck at NE 69 and Kelley. Danny Joe Troyer, 23, of 825 N Warren, was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital. He suffered a fractured cervical spine, shattered right ankle and deep lacerations to his back. His condition was termed serious. Accident officers R. S. Pierce and K. P. Hopkins said the accident occurred when a truck driven by Ray L. Hoover, 36, of 3316 NW 39, turned left in front of Troyer. Troyer attempted to brake his cycle but rammed into the truck. Hoover was given a traffic summons charging him with failure to yield the right of way."
