Photograph used for a story in the Oklahoma City Times newspaper. Caption: "Tulakes Airport holds the key to future success in Oklahoma City's bustling, booming, multi-million doall general aviation business. More than 200 private and executive planes take off or land at the airport each day, and new equipment to be installed at the field should send the figure flying upward. Tulakes represents a $3,900,000 investment and, according to Gen. Maurice Marrs, airport supervisor, is on a par with the best of the country's airports built to serve private aviators. This modern airport is the heart of local general aviation activities which includes all aviation not in the military, government, or scheduled carrier catagories...It is an integral part of the local economy contributing approximately 2,400 jobs and an annual payroll approaching $12,000,000. Sales and service bills to Oklahoma Cityans purchasing and maintaining aircraft total about $5,000,000 each year. There are more than 400 private planes based at the five main civilian air terminals in Oklahoma City. These terminals handle more than 150,000 take-offs and landings each year....Most of the remaining flight activity is handled by Downtown Airpark, Expressway Junction Airport and South Shields Airport. Photograph used for a story in the Oklahoma City Times newspaper. Caption: "Our main problem is discouraging quail hunters. We sold people on this idea because there are a lot of quail in the area. Now they want to shoot up our namesake!" Jack Johnston is hardly upset, however, as he never misses an opportunity to talk about his favorite subject, Qual Creek. Just a little more than a year ago Quail Creek was only rumored housing development and the site, (bounded by NW 122 , Memorial Rd., May and Portland) was merely a pasture. Several paved streets are now open. Utlities are all underground. Four small lakes dot the area. Two houses in the first building phase are going up. And the Quail Creek Gold and Country Club is racing toward a completion date in late fall. "They'll be knocking golf balls on the golf course by July, and club members will be taking a dip in the pool by June," is the prediction of Boston Smith, club president. The club has 460 members with 600 as the limit. there are 40,000 square feet in the contemporary structure of stone and glass. Architects Howard, Samis and Davies designed the …

Photograph used for a story in the Oklahoma City Times newspaper. Caption: "Take a cold, gray-tinted color, but a perfect blend morning. Add a photographer with an eye for beauty. Put him in Lincoln Park near the still, frigid pond, mirroring a grayness of sky and hill. Into is vision swim three geese, their reflections creating an illusion of six ghostly white creatures gliding across a grayish-white emptiness, their stark black shadows, standing out like blots of ink. Cliff King, the Times photographer, waits until they silently paddle past within "shooting" range. Snap! Nature's beauty has been captured on photographic film with a result of a charming black and white print, simple in its lack of color, but perfect blend of nature, a photographer's skill and a science that enables him to record the moment."

Circle medians at the intersections of both avenues will be pointed, as indicated in the photo. An additional $15,000 is being poured into street improvements on the state capitol grounds...Called "channelization" by officals, the traffic improvement program began in mid-summer when Irvin Hurst, executive secretary for the commission, called a conference with state city traffic engineers and other officials."
