Mr. Clarkson pruned all the young pine on his ranch in the fall of 1959 and spring of 1960. It is estimated if all this pine were in one block it would be about 40 acres. Clarkson has shifted from row crops to cattle raising. His overall plan is to shift to tree farming. OK-969-9.

They are using Coastal Bermuda on part of it and NKI-37 [Bermuda grass] on another part. Soon they should choose one. OK-957-3.

Photograph of a sting of fish caught by Clarence Fowler, Rancher, out of Site 4, Sandstone Creek Watershed. These 6 bass and 1 channel cat weighed a total of 26 pounds. Fowler has fished in Canada, throughout the Northwest part of the U.S., and in Colorado-he said, "This is the best fishing area in the country right here on Sandstone." Fowler keeps a record of fish caught, the record shows 285 lbs. caught during period March 15 to May 15, 1960.
