The El Paso Natural Gas Building was built across from the Bassett Tower on Texas Street in 1954. The vantage point of the picture is from the Old Mesa Gardens which later became a part of the backyard of a house on the 600 block of W. Yandell. Today the house and land are part of the El Paso Historical Society offices and is known as the Burges House
