Letter from Harris Leon Kempner to Messrs. Tong Yik, Tailors thanking them for the letter of February 23rd, in which they mentioned that they're sending 8 1/2 yards of silk material in two packages. Kempner mentions that he hasn't received them yet, but he attaches a check for $43.50 for the payment.

Letter from Douglas Butler to Harris Leon Kempner about the certificate not being sufficient that's forwarded with the letter of April 18, covering silk material that he purchased in Hong Kong. As they don't have certificate of Origin, he asks Kempner to follow the instructions included in the letter from the office, dated March 25.

Letter from Harris Leon Kempner to Messrs. Tong Yik, Tailors regarding the letter he received from Mr. Douglas Butler, Collector of Customs about the parcel with the plain silk white material, which they'd need a certificate oof Origin for them to release that. So Kempner requests them to provide a Certificate of Origin or do their best in this matter so he'd be able to get the material. He also mentions to do the same for the other package they're sending.

Letter from Harris Leon Kempner to Messrs. Tong Yik, Tailors regarding the dinner jack they made for him the last May he's in Hong Kong. He mentions that some of his friends would like to have some of that material, and he's requesting them to send enough material for two such jackets under two separate parcels and label them as gifts so that the duty would be nominal. And he refers them to F. W. Golding if they have any concerns whom he thinks that they already know.
