Hat of black fur felt. The high, cylindrical crown is sunken, and slightly domed at center. Around base of crown is a wide band of black grosgrain ribbon, with large know and trailing ribbons at center front. Hat is unlined, with inner pink grosgrain ribbon hatband. Retailer's label at inside hatband: "Lou Lattimore / Dallas" Style/Origin label stamped inside crown: "Martelle / body made in West Germany"
