The attachment includes a Final Report letter addressed to Gentlemen--Oregon State Board of Parole and Probation, Salem, Oregon from parolee, Abilene, Texas dated February 4, 1959. Subject OSP 22624 expresses his appreciation for his Discharge from Parole and discourses on his life and family situation since moving to Texas, the successes and the trials endured. He advises of his only fear being of the impact that his record might have on his son's ambitions to become an ensign in the U. S. Navy via an appointment to Annapolis. A letter written to a parolee in Abilene, Texas, from H. M. Randall, Director, State of Oregon, State Board of Parole and Probation by Robert E. Jones, Deputy Director dated January 5, 1959. Copy to T. N. Carswell. An advisement to Subject that his discharge from parole was ordered with an expression of congratulations and best wishes for the future. Handwritten note by Randall to Carswell expressing appreciation for his "fine assistance!"

This report reviews the performance of the Lookout Point Dam located on the Middle Fork of the Willamette River in Oregon. "This study is one of a series of similar studies of the foundation and soil mechanics features of earth dams [...] In these studies original design data are reviewed, construction experience is summarized, and performance fo the completed structures is compared with design predictions to provide information for use in the design and construction of future similar projects" (p. 1).

Report issued by the U.S. Bureau of Mines discussing materials surveys conducted on mercury. As stated in the foreword, "the surveys dealing with metals and minerals summarize the demand-supply position in the United States and include information on production, imports, consumption, exports, substitutes, and pertinent history" (p. v). This report includes maps, tables, illustrations, and photographs.
