Heater located so that heat is thrown back into cab. The base of the soil coring machine shown here is 1/4 inch slab steel and is too light for this application, the steel springs downward when pulling soils from heavy clays.

The tubes one 52" long for making 4 ft. tests in alfalfa land for high water table-three short tubes, one for collecting profile of shallow soil under native vegetation, one for collecting a deep soil profile under virgin conditions (sample to be carried into the cultivated field for comparison and evaluate soil losses) and a third short tube to be used in process of surveying. Cab should have ample window space for light, the inside being painted with aluminum paint for better light reflection. Comfortable seats, both front and back should be installed. The front seat here is a recovered bucket seat from a '36 Plymouth Panel. Muffler is moved outward and attached to body.
