Photograph used for a story in the Oklahoma City Times newspaper. Caption: "Hammer noise echoed up and down "tornado alley" Friday as storm victims in Rush Springs, Bradley and Washington rebuilt from the wreckage left from the twister just one week ago. It takes only seconds for a tornado to swep through leaving death, injury and debris in its wake, but the cleaning up process take time. Scars of the tornadoes are harder to earse. twisted trees, loose bricks and scattered hinks of metal will be around for a long time but business and just plain living cannot be delayed because of a disaster...There was a lot of activity Friday morning in Bradely, Grady county, the hardest hit of the three towns. [Photograph 2012.201.OVZ001.0150]

Photograph used for a story in the Oklahoma City Times newspaper. Caption: "The Gladish building at NW 1 and Hudson which had reared its skelton over Oklahoma City's civic center since 1930, Wednesday was a pile of stone and tangled steel. It was on its way toward becoming a fine hotel when the builders ran out of money 23 years ago. Owned by Federated Department Stores Inc., operators of Halliburton's here, the building started coming down December 9 after it was condemned as "structurally unsound" by the city building department. On New Year eve, a wrecking company started swinging a two-ton steel ball at the building to crush it to the ground. Harold Carmack, general superintendent of the wrecking operation, say the building site will be cleared for a parking lot this week."
