Herrera discusses some of the voting issues of Texas and New Mexico LULAC councils and mentions that Gonzales will be making the nominating speech for Herrera at the National LULAC Convention, with George Lopez of Wharton, Texas, seconding the nomination. And also, in a short note, the letter mentions the birth of Herrera's daughter Cathy Luz.

Herrera mentions an out-of-work Able Cisneros, whom Herrera thinks could be a help to Lane's campaign, and Herrera asks if Lane can find anything to help Cisneros.
