Cultivation of cotton results in the cultivation of Bermuda grass. The width of the strip is 160 feet and will be fenced and utilized as pasture after grass is well-established and the terraces are constructed. TX-45, 717.

The back of the photograph proclaims, "Range cover evaluation plot 196 of little bluestem on Rolling Red Plains shinnery in excellent condition, was 99% effective in controlling soil splash. The plot had 11,386 pounds of cover per acre, affording 97% soil coverage."
