The taller thriftier trees are growing in six feed of permeable soil while the shorter less vigorous stands are on soils as shallow as two feet. This windbreak is located in Washita County, Oklahoma, a short distance North of Dill City, Oklahoma and one-eight miles north of the intersection of Dill Highway and State Highway 41."
