Friedman explaining that, after receiving prior correspondence from Rabbi Friedman, Kempner forwarded the letter to a Mr. Schapiro seeing as he was able to investigate applicants. Kempner also adds an afternote about hearing of Rabbi Cohen taking a fall and severely injuring himself, sharing the details of the circumstances surrounding the injury as well as what hospital Rabbi Cohen was admitted to.
