The eightfold purpose of this study was: 1. to evaluate the programs of boys' clubs sponsored by organizations in McKinney, Denton, and Dallas, Texas; 2. to obtain and study the aims and objectives of the programs of each club; 3. to obtain and study the aims and objectives of the active membership of the clubs; 4. to evaluate the programs in the light of an over-all guidance program; 5. to determine the different activities and their significance of mental, physical, emotional, economical, social, and moral phases of life; 6. to determine the social and economic status of the membership of the clubs; 7. to discover in which clubs there is a definite need for future professional preparation of adult leaders; 8. to discover the carry-over value of adolescent training through clubs into adult life.

The purposes of the study were: 1. to prepare and execute a course of study in rhythms for the elementary grades of the Frisco Public Schools; 2. to study the needs and interests of the student of the elementary grades of the Frisco Public Schools using the principles of physiology, biology, sociology, psychology, and education as a base for the study.

The purpose of the study is to make an investigation into the practices and procedures recommended and employed in making book reports in the public schools. The aim is to determine also what methods are most recommended and what practices are followed in secondary school English classes. Special attention is given to the book reporting program in the Frisco High School. Attention is given to the needs for creating a taste for good reading, the ability to interpret what is read, and to the values accruing to the intelligent reader. The reports of reading, as given by a class of secondary pupils, are analyzed to determine the methods most advisable for creating these interests and abilities.

"This study shows three things: (1) a precedent for the expenditure of public funds to teach electricity in our public high schools has already been established by the school system in the larger school systems of Texas, (2) the rural families living on electrified farms in the North Texas area want instruction of this type given to the boys and girls in their communities, and (3) both the rural people and the professional people of the North Texas area believe that instruction dealing with the use of electricity and electrical equipment had spread until by 1935 more than twenty-one million homes, about eighty percent of the total in America at that time, were electrified, only eleven American farms out of every 100 had central-station electricity. The writer proposes in this study to make a survey of the organization and development of consumer cooperatives in Plano, Texas. Various phases of the development and present status of the consumer cooperatives are to be dealt with including history of organization, financial growth, operating procedure, management, benefits to the community, comparison with Rochdale Principles, and the reasons for the success of the cooperatives in the Plano community.
