Letter from I. H. Kempner to Allan Shivers thanking Shivers for a resolution passed by the Texas Senate regarding a visit by a Senate delegation to the University of Texas Medical School at Galveston on March 25, 1949. He writes that the purpose of the visit was to show the Senators the potential of the medical school. He mentions that the school has a high national reputation and that funding should not be cut. He concludes by inviting Shivers to investigate the situation further.
