Many studies have been made concerning the difficulties which business mathematics students have in solving stated problems. Such studies have been made by analyzing the student's errors as they appear on written solutions to problems, and, as a result, many errors are overlooked. Errors in the thinking process, and failure to read the problem a sufficient number of times are responsible for many errors made by students. Such errors are not apparent on written solutions, but would be revealed through oral solutions as recorded on a wire recorder. The purpose of this study, then, is to analyze the errors revealed by a wire recorder, along with errors on written solutions, and to classify and tabulate the errors from both sources.

The main purpose of this study is to analyze the values and results of one year's participation of the Sanger School in a three-year Texas Health Education Program (Texas Extended School and Community Health Program) in order to determine an adequate basis for making recommendations for the further development of this program.

"The problem of this thesis is to determine through survey and comparative study the effect of the activity program of Denton's El Centro, the youth center, on the youth of the City of Denton...methods of operation and internal organization of youth centers, the purpose of the centers and the results of some of the activities are outlined. The problem of this study was to determine the apparent relationship between classroom behavior problems and the emotional stability of twenty-five pupils in the second grade of the Sam Houston Elementary School, Denton, Texas.

The problem under consideration is to determine the changes in group responsibility in a second grade as a result of concerted effort. The concerted efforts made in this experiment were telling, reading, and dramatizing stories, poems, and songs of responsibility; discussing of stories, poems, songs, and filmstrips of responsibility; the assigning of definite classroom responsibility; and the assigning of definite study responsibility. This study attempts to answer the question, how much change, positive or negative, will occur in group responsibility as a result of the above-mentioned efforts?

It is the purpose of this study to determine if there is any significant difference in teacher ratings of boys and girls of equal achievement. If such differences are found to exist, an attempt will be made to explain the causes for such differences.

It is the purpose of this study to determine how the pupils' participation in certain lunchroom activities for a two-weeks period affected their acceptance of foods.

This investigation deals with the isolation and identification of bacteria found on selected samples of spoons in various eating establishments in the vicinity of Denton, Texas.

The purposes of this study are, first, to determine relative numbers and predominant types of bacterial organisms in the various food products studied; second, to evaluate the efficiency of the paper coverings of these foods; and third, to determine whether these products are potential sources of food poisoning.

The problem of the present study is to investigate specific background areas of pupils who show average use of English, and of pupils who are recognized as having below-average use of English. This investigation has had for its aim a further study of actinomycete flora of twenty Denton County, Texas, soils. The problem has evolved itself into, first, a seasonal analysis for the number of actinomycetes in each of the twenty soils; second, a determination of the types of soils that contain the greatest number of actinomycetes in each cultivated and uncultivated land; third, a determination of soil moisture and pH; and fourth, an attempt to correlate these factors with the number of actinomycetes found in each soil type.

In this study an effort is made to determine how certain factors are related to success in elementary college accounting at North Texas State College. The factors which are considered are: grades made in high school bookkeeping, size of high school attended, sex, age, military service, marital status, intelligence, college classification of the student, and high school bookkeeping credit earned by the student.
