Kempner suggests that James write to Kahn & Levy about changing out the machines for one of Sugarlands since he was able to accomplish this for them before with other items. A handwritten equation at the bottom of the letter reads: "123.87 [+] 12.38 [=] 136.25 vs 199.50"
