He discusses the importance of motivating the chairmen to continue their fundraising efforts before War Chest and other Jewish drives begin this fall. He requests an update on the outcome of the conference when it is finished.

Letter from I. H. Kempner to B'nai B'rith District Grand Lodge No. 7 informally acknowledging receipt of the Lodge's donation of $1,000 to the Hillel Building Fund. He explains that the Rabbi has left for a trip so their formal acceptance of the donation will be delayed. He also states that he believes there will be no problem with placing a plaque in the Hillel House to honor their deceased Secretary Myron M. Goldman who the donation is on behalf of.

He also mentions July as the month for the next meeting to discuss the Hillel Foundation's progress on the Building Fund. He remains confident that the brochure they are sending out will stimulate giving across the state.

He also mentions a meeting with George Dahl, the Hillel Building architect, to discuss certain features to be incorporated into the building. Last, he states that many people have mentioned a March 10th meeting in Galveston to speak about the Hillel Building Fund, but it is not on the last meeting's minutes. He suggests that Rabbi Friedman notify the last attendees of the upcoming meeting in Galveston.

Kempner explaining that he will make the increased offer to the land owner of the potential lot for the Hillel building in Austin, rejoicing over the pledges for $1,000.00 and discussing the responses from B'nai B'rith Lodges. He also mentions Mr. Scheppps decision to donate the Liquor Dealers Fund to local hospitals in the area. He agrees to make personal donations to the fund instead.

The board members have seen the lots and acknowledge that the price is still worth it, but Friedman would like Karrotkin's opinion on the matter. He mentions the total of donations so far and the verbal agreement between Kempner and Feld to raise 10 subscriptions at $1,000.00 each.
