McKenzie outlines two actions taken at the Executive Committee meeting and advises of the enclosed quarterly report. McKenzie handwrites in a postscript to please answer his last two letters and requests to see Carswell at the earliest possible minute. Typewritten carbon copy bearing red COPY mark.

A letter from Nancy Harris, Clerk for the Matagora County Local Board #1 of the Selective Service System, dated May 19, 1944. Harris advises regarding a copy of a discharge order and asks Headquarters if the board has the authority to send registrant 2nd Lt. William Wellborn Stinnett in for induction or if they are to continue in his I-C classification.

A letter written to Miss Peggy Anne Carswell, Balch Hall, Ithaca, New York from R. P. Sibley, Assistant Dean, dated July 19, 1944. Sibley defends the prescribed probation by the faculty to be meant as an emphatic warning. Inasmuch as she has every incentive to finish the requirement this term he then agrees that the probation may be rescinded noting that Dean Ogden and Professor Rideout concur in this belief.
