Letter from John Todd Willis, Jr. to his parents Clara and John T. Willis, Sr. on May 15, 1944. He laments celebrating another birthday overseas, and wishes he could be home for his birthday as well as Mother's Day. He got a letter from a friend in the Pacific who gets to go home when his 18 month service is up, and Willis wishes he could say the same. He expresses regret at one of his father's calves drowning when Waco got a lot of rain, and tells his mother he will buy her and his Aunt Lucile cameos the next time he goes into town.
